A Passion for Transforming Lives Through Exceptional Denture Care
Hello, I’m Bill Sharpling, and I’ve dedicated my career to helping people rediscover confidence in their smiles. With over 35 years in dental technology and denture care, I believe dentures should be so comfortable and secure that you hardly know you’re wearing them.
My Journey in Dentistry
My career began in 1986 when I qualified as a Dental Technician. The following decade saw me working throughout the UK and abroad, gaining advanced qualifications in fixed and removable prosthodontics.
This experience shaped my understanding of the challenges denture wearers face and fuelled my determination to find better solutions.
My professional path has included roles in commercial dental laboratories, the Armed Forces, and as Chief Instructor in Conservative Dental Technology at Guy’s Hospital Dental School. In 1999, I completed an MBA with distinction at one of London’s prestigious business schools, adding business acumen to my technical expertise. Before being appointed as Associate Dean and Director of the London Dental Education Centre (LonDEC), I served as Head of Dental Technology at Guy’s, King’s College and St Thomas’ Hospitals. In 2008, I completed a further three years of clinical training, which gave me not only the expertise to design and make dentures, but also the clinical skills to care directly for patients.
For almost 20 years now I have worked both clinically and technically, continually improving my skillset in both of these important areas. Today, my focus is on combining this unique blend of clinical, technical, and educational expertise to improve the lives of denture wearers, support the next generation of dental professionals, and advance the standards of care within dentistry.

A Commitment to Education and Charity
I believe strongly in sharing knowledge and giving back to the community. I regularly lecture throughout the UK and internationally on dental technology topics, helping to train the next generation of dental professionals.
My commitment extends beyond borders through my support of the Chitrakoot dental charity in India, where I helped establish dental facilities to benefit one of the world’s poorest communities.
